Ingredients :
|
- 12 - 15
kokum
- 1
coconut grated
- 1
green chilli
- 2
cloves garlic
|
- 2
tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- ½
tsp cumin seeds
- Salt
to taste
- Water as required
|

Method :
|
- Soak
the kokum in hot water for 1 hour.
- Squeeze
the soaked kokum to extract the juice, strain the juice and remove the pods.
- In
a mixer grinder add the green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves and cumin
seeds and grind them to a rough paste and keep it aside.
- Grind
the coconut and blend it to smooth paste by adding warm water for grinding,
strain the blended coconut, you will get a smooth paste. Strain the paste
through a fine sieve to extract the coconut milk and keep it aside.
- Repeat
the process of grinding and extracting till you get the coconut milk, with
every repeated process the milk starts turning thinner.
- In
a bowl add the coconut milk, kokum juice and the grinded paste with salt to
taste, stir it and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
