Corn Pakoda



Serves : 4
Preparation Time : 20 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes

Ingredients :
  • 1 ½ cup sweet corn kernels
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp besan/gram flour
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Pinch hing
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying


Method :

  • Soak the corn and drain them.
  • Grind the corn coarsely do not use water.
  • Take a bowl mix the grinded corn add chopped onion, green chilies, coriander leaves, gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, chili powder, ginger, hing and 1 tbsp of lemon juice and salt.
  • Take a deep bottom pan add oil and heat it on a medium flame, drop the pakoda mixture in hot oil and fry the pakoda till crisp and golden.
  • Serve the hot pakoda with tomato sauce.
